Speaker Bio

Kelley Porter has spent years motivating and empowering audiences to get out of their comfort zone and get comfortable feeling uncomfortable. After starting her career as an Author, she has been the go-to person for teaching accountability for thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, healing and embracing pain as well as living an authentic life. With her background having conquered and released thirty years of abuse, depression, and emotional instabilities, Kelley honored her experience to empower audiences who are often afraid to feel the darkness to see the light. With her engaging, high energy and passionate personality, Kelley connects with her audiences instantly and delivers content that they can immediately use in their relationships, personal or business life.

Kelley is currently a graduate student at Walden University studying Human Services and Behaviors. After working in the Health Care Industry for over twenty years, she realized her passion for helping others was no longer in health care. In February 2016, she took a leap of faith and resigned from the healthcare industry without any backup job as it was the best decision she has ever made. She has been honored by Chicago Now for the 50 Most Distinct Women (Breaking Glass Ceilings) and known for her Silence No More Seminars. In addition to being a popular empowerment and inspirational speaker, Kelley is also the
author of five self-help books including the international seller “Perfectly Planned" (Overcoming Incest, Rape, and Sexual Abuse). "Perfectly Planned Workbook is a Guide to Best Practices in Conquering Childhood Abuse and  Overcoming Toxic Relationships helps the readers Create Power From Past Pain.  Mental MakeOver (Creating A Positive Mindset) is a book of over two hundred original quotes and, "It's All About Life" (Short Non-Fiction Stories in Poetic Form) are other self-help books written by Kelley. When not delivering empowering and motivating presentations for audiences, Kelley hosts an annual Silence No More Seminar with her husband, Patrick O, Turner.

In order to stand in your truth and live an authentic life, you have to accept your ugly truth. If you are attracted to chaos and negativity, you have to accept it. If you don’t know what love was, accept it. If you think being slapped in the face or beaten is normal, accept it. If you lack self-esteem and self-love, admit it. If you are insecure, accept it. If you are desperate for a man, accept it.

Not only that, being taught sex at an early age is like being introduced to heroin, you may develop an addiction. As an adult, most do not make the connection and what happens is one may find themselves believing sex will lead to love, or accepting abuse in a relationship.

In my case, I became promiscuous, but withdrawn from certain sexual acts.

When someone helps you, it is because he or she doesn't want to see you hurting or in a bind. This person really cares for or loves you. When you love someone, sacrificing yourself goes along with territory, however, gratitude and appreciation needs to be not only expressed, but shown. The last thing anyone needs is to feel is unappreciated or taken for granted. That will make a person look at you differently or...  Read this article...
